Corrective Jaw (Orthognathic) Surgery
The surgical correction of deformities of the jaws is known as orthognathic surgery. Generally it is used as an adjunct to orthodontic treatment when the severity of the problem cannot be managed with braces alone. Occasionally these procedures may also be used to treat obstructive sleep apnea. Other facial cosmetic surgery procedures may be combined with these techniques to provide the most ideal outcome.

We offer medical and surgical management of oral and maxillofacial diseases such as cysts, tumors, ulcers, skin lesions, and other conditions of the jaws, facial skeleton, skin, tongue, salivary glands, and other oral tissues. The reconstruction of the face, jaws, and teeth following surgical treatment of a lesion is also offered including bone grafting, placing of dental implants, and the latest methods in other hard and soft tissue regeneration techniques. When appropriate, other facial cosmetic surgery procedures may be combined with these techniques to provide the most ideal outcome. |
